HIBBING-Maggi Fellerman and Paige Wallevand each had big offensive nights and the Raiders were dominant in the hitting game, but they needed all five sets to defeat the Hibbing Cardinals 3-2 in a Northern Division matchup Friday, Sept. 21.
Fellerman knocked down 21 kills, while Wallevand tallied eight kills and 42 set assists.
Sydney Berg notched 12 kills while Sydney Forbord collected 10, while Hailey Tihlarik led the way on defense with 19 digs.
The Raiders are currently ranked No. 1 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.
"Hibbing was good, and we weren't ready to compete," said head coach Jane Peterson. "If you looked at our hitting alone we win easily, but we had a lot of unforced errors."
