Central Lakes College Raiders Morgan Melby and Kayla Larson were named Northern Division Players of the Week ending Oct. 7.

Melby was the setter of the week. CLC picked up important wins last week with 3-0 shutouts over Northland and Vermilion. Helping lead the way was Melby, a freshman from Badger. She had 36 assists, averaging 6.0 per set, and eight ace serves in the two contests.

Larson was the all-around player of the Week. The Isle native had 18 kills and a hitting percentage of .571 and nine blocks to lead the Raiders to a pair of 3-0 wins. CLC is in sole possession of first place in the division with a 10-0 mark.

The Raiders, 16-5 overall, host Itasca at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, before traveling to North Dakota for the Lake Region State Slamfest Tournament this weekend.
