PIERZ -- Staples-Motley’s Emmet Anderson was the individual winner with a 15:58 run to help bring the Cardinal boys to a second place overall finish in the Pierz Invitational Monday, Sept. 16.

Anderson’s win makes him five for five on the season. The Staples-Motley boys also saw a third place finish from Hunter Klimek who recorded a 16:51 run.

Kyanna Burton placed second in 20:23.5 for Staples-Motley just trailing Kristine Kalthoff from Albany. Staples-Motley’s Aften Robinson placed fifth individually as the girls won first as a team.

Crosby-Ironton’s Tucker Ringhand placed fourth to give the Ranger boys a 12th place finish while Emily Miller’s 50th place finish was the Ranger girl’s best as they were incomplete as a team.

Warrior Ethan Klisch helped bring the Brainerd boys to a fourth place team finish with his 13th place run, he was trailed by Thomas Ruhl who placed 17th. The Warrior girls were sixth overall and were led by Ellie Juranek who was 22nd.

The Pierz Pioneer girls were 14th as team and the boy 20th with their best runs coming from Brenna Andres and cole Andres both in 48th.
