ST. CLOUD -- Eighth-grader Bridget Collins finished with a 20:11.2 that placed her seventh individually and landed the Brainerd Warrior girls in third at the St. Cloud Tech Invite Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Boulder Ridge Golf Course.

The Brainerd boys were fourth and were led by sophomore Thomas Ruhl who clocked a 17:33.2 that placed him ninth.

“It was a very high-quality, smaller meet,” said Warrior head coach Dave Herath. “There were no weak teams so it was good competition for our kids. We had some really nice runs.

“It was a fairly fast course and we had a number of boys under 18 minutes. That was excellent for this time of the year. They’re starting to drop time, which is what you want to see.

“All of our varsity girls had season best times so it was a good day for everybody.”
