Curling: League winners announced

The fall curling session ended just before the holidays with league champions crowned after a two-week playdown in Brainerd.

Below are the winning teams for each league. The new winter season for curling leagues will start Jan. 6.

Tuesday Men’s League

Men With Brooms: Rick Litke, Mark McDonald, Brent Gunsbury and Paul Murray.

Wednesday Open League

Holy Sheet: Alex Tiffany, Dusty Nelson, Clara Navin and Ron Everson.

Thursday Women’s League

Ready to Rock: Courtney Osbakken, Kelly Gorvin, Sarah Gorvin, Vicki Foss and LeAnn Schultz.

Friday Open League

Dusty’s Parents: Mary Pappas-Ladd, Dusty Nelson, Robert Nelson, Lori Nelson and Barry Christenson.
