AITKIN - The Aitkin All Starz and Crosby-Ironton Rangerettes each advanced to the state tournament in jazz and kick following their performances in the Section 4-1A meet Saturday.
Aitkin won the jazz competition, C-I finished third, Wadena-Deer Creek was ninth, Pierz 11th and Pine River-Backus 13th.
The All Starz also were champions in kick with C-I runner-up, W-DC eighth, Pierz 10th and PRB 13th.
Top three teams in kick and jazz advanced to the 1A state tournament next weekend at the Target Center.
