Three coaches with ties to the lakes area were honored by the Minnesota Association of Dance Teams March 10 at the Sheraton Minneapolis West in Minnetonka.
Julie Davidge, assistant coach of the Brainerd Warriors, was named Class 3A Assistant Coach of the Year.
Brainerd High School graduate Lea (Hall) Frank, now the head coach at Rocori, tied for the Class 2A coach of the year honor with Orono's Sharon Forde.
Aitkin's Andrea Zasmeta was the assistant coach of the year in Class 1A.
This year, the MADT added coach Kris Rydland of Chaska High School to its hall of fame. Rydland founded the team at Chaska and has served on the MADT board of directors.
