Dance Team: Brainerd tops the podium in jazz

SARTELL — The Brainerd Warriors opened the Central Lakes Conference season with a first in jazz and a second in kick Friday, Nov. 22.

Brainerd head coach Cindy Clough said it was the first time her team won jazz since 2014.

“We’re pretty happy about that,” Clough said. “We took second in and that’s where I thought we would land so I was happy with the judging tonight.”

Brainerd’s junior varsity placed second in the kick division.

The Warriors will compete Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Forest Lake Invite.
