SAUK RAPIDS-The Brainerd Warriors left the opening Central Lakes Conference meet with two second-place finishes Friday, Nov. 30 to position themselves well in the conference standings.
Brainerd's second-place finish in kick was close as Sartell won the category with four rank points. Brainerd finished with five. St. Cloud Tech placed third.
Sartell also won the jazz division. Brainerd and Tech tied, but the Warriors won the tiebreaker by a point to push Tech to another third.
Brainerd's junior varsity also placed second to first-place Sartell. Rocori was third for the junior varsity, which competed in kick.
