FOREST LAKE — The Brainerd Warriors dance team is headed to state in both kick and jazz following the section 4-3A tournament Saturday, Feb. 1, in Forest Lake.
Brainerd finished first in both jazz and kick and are double section champs for the second year in a row.
“Calm and controlled performances were replaced with nerves that were high while waiting for the judges results,” Warriors head coach Cindy Clough said. “We felt we had a very solid performance in jazz. In kick, we were strong too, but had a shoe get stepped on and cause a semi fall. Our kids performed well and we are so proud of them.”
