Nine athletes from CrossFit Grow in Baxter will compete in the Granite Games CrossFit competition Sept. 8-10 in St. Cloud.

Team One will consist of Sonya Chamberlain, Wendy Day and Jessa Hastings.

Team Two includes Jason Day, Jeff Andersen and Nathan Laposky.

Team Three is comprised of Erik Flowers, Shane Slettom and David Quisberg.

Athletes compete for three days, doing seven different workouts (two Sept. 8, three Sept. 9, two Sept. 10).

Among the seven events are:

• 400-meter open water swim across Lake George near St Cloud State University.

• Five rounds for time (men) including 20 partner deadlifts (445 pounds), 20-foot handstand walk, 20 handstand push-ups, 20-foot handstand walk. Ten feet of the handstand walk must be completed at a time. Two of three athletes must complete the walk.

• Five rounds for time (women) includes 20 partner deadlifts (305 pounds), 20-foot handstand walk, 15 handstand push-ups, 20-foot handstand walk. Ten feet of the handstand walk must be completed at a time; two of three athletes must complete the walk.
