Former Minnesota Vikings Keith Millard and Henry Thomas will be at Senior Patrons Noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 in downtown Brainerd for a meet and greet, to sign autographs and promote a new fall football league coming to the area.

A Brainerd Tackle Bar Youth Football League will start next fall for players in grades first-sixth.

The four-week league will have a former Minnesota Viking at every game day event to support the Safe Football Initiative.

Tackle Bar football is said to decrease injuries by reducing hits and high-impact collisions. It teaches proper should tackling technique and is said to be an ideal transition between flag football and tackle football.

The Feb. 2 fundraiser is free to the public, but autographs will be available for donations to the youth camps.
