Football: Klancher lands on all-state 2nd team

C-I's Jake Klancher was honored by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association.

Crosby-Ironton senior linebacker Jake Klancher was named to the Minnesota Football Coaches Association All-State second team.

Klancher finished with 105 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, two pass breakups and two forced/recovered fumbles.

Moorhead quarterback Trey Feeney was named The Associated Press Player of the Year and was First Team All-State Quarterback.

Pierz’s Michael Leidenfrost and Pequot Lakes’ Bode Magnuson were named to the 2020 Minnesota Vikings All-State Team.

Verndale’s Jaden Finck was named to the Minnesota 9-Man All-State Team. Finck landed a spot on the defensive line.

The Pirates earned a Silver Academic award for earning a team grade-point average of 3.0-3.25.

Wadena-Deer Creek and Crosby-Ironton earned Class 2A Silver Awards.
Pequot Lakes and Pierz earned Gold Academic Awards for having team grade-point averages of 3.26-4.0.
