Ron Stolski’s retirement celebration is scheduled for 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Northern Pacific Center in Brainerd.

The Warrior football team hosts Rogers Friday, Oct. 8, where Stolski will be honored pregame.

The weekend is also alumni weekend with an alumni social after the football game Friday and a Warrior Football Alumni Reunion following Stolski’s celebration at 6 p.m. at the Northern Pacific Center.

It is $50 to register for the alumni reunion which includes a meal, two drink tickets and a silent auction.

“The idea was let’s do the two together,” Stolski said. “The retirement is going to happen prior to the alumni event.”

Stolski compiled 389 career wins, the second-most all-time in the state of Minnesota, in his 58 years coaching high school football, 45 of which were at Brainerd High School.

“You are not going to find a coach in the state of Minnesota with the resume of coach Stolski,” current Warriors head coach Jason Freed said. “He is an iconic figure in our coaches association, in the state of Minnesota and in high school football across the country. For him to be a part of Brainerd Warrior football for as long as he was and the history and tradition he established along with his coaching staff and players for all these years. It’s a really special thing. I think it will be really special for our team and our coaching staff to see that and to see coach Stolski and those alumni because it is a symbol for what Warrior football is all about.”
