The Brainerd Warrior junior varsity finished the season 8-0 with a 40-8 victory over Sartell Tuesday.
Brainerd received two touchdown runs and a 2-point conversion run from Devon Stucky to get the Warriors off to a good start. The Warriors' Dalton Hamre caught a 60-yard touchdown pass from Josh McLain. Owen Davis had a TD run and threw a pass to Ben Staehling for 30 yards. Tom Fickett returned a kickoff 65 yards for a touchdown. Brainerd's Manni Ukutege caught a 2-point conversion pass from Stucky.
Brainerd's defense was relentless for four quarters limiting Sartell to 140 yards of offense. The Warriors received interceptions from Staehling and Jack Olson and fumble recoveries by Stucky and Staehling. Brainerd's defense was led by Isaac Schneider and Brady Streiff, Austin Neyens and Caleb Nagel.
