With the New York Giants staying in the thick of the playoff race thanks to their win over the Miami Dolphins on Monday, their Dec. 27 game against the Vikings in Minnesota was moved into the Sunday night time slot by the NFL late Monday night.
The change is part of the league's flex scheduling policy for late-season games.
After beating Miami 31-24, the Giants (6-7) are in a three-way tie for first place in the NFC East with the Washington Redskins (6-7) and the Philadelphia Eagles (6-7).
The Giants play host to the NFC South champion Carolina Panthers (13-0) on Sunday before traveling to Minnesota. They conclude the regular season with a home game against the Eagles.
The Vikings (8-5) currently occupy an NFC wild-card position, and they are one game behind the NFC North-leading Green Bay Packers (9-4).
