A shortened 2021 season made everyone’s statistics look less than in a normal season. Teams played around eight fewer games and that’s if they could survive without any stops.
Still, eight schools were represented on this year’s Dispatch All-Area team.
Brainerd earned two players playing a Central Lakes Conference schedule.
Crosby-Ironton led by Player of the Year Tori Oehrlein earned two players as well as Mid-State Conference rival Pequot Lakes.
Pine River-Backus also had two girls make the all-area with both of them averaging over 19 points a game.
