The Brainerd sixth-grade girls basketball team, coached by Pat Pickar, will play Sunday, June 11, in the Pacesetter Minnesota Youth Basketball State Championship at Maple Grove Middle School.
Teams that won Pacesetter regionals this spring advance to the state tournament. State champions and runners-up will be invited to the Pacesetter Great Four-State Championships at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul later this summer against teams from Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota.
More than 600 teams competed statewide in the regionals as part of the Pacesetter four-state playoff system.
