Girls Basketball: Cardinals, Rangers, Patriots all land 2 players

With appearances in their respective section finals, the Crosby-Ironton Rangers and Staples-Motley Cardinals both landed two players on this year's Brainerd Dispatch All-Area Girls Basketball Team.

With appearances in their respective section finals, the Crosby-Ironton Rangers and Staples-Motley Cardinals both landed two players on this year's Brainerd Dispatch All-Area Girls Basketball Team.

Also securing two positions was the Pequot Lakes Patriots.

Members of the all-area team are nominated by their head coaches and selected by the Dispatch Sports Staff.

Taylor Ehnstrom, Aitkin

Senior, guard

The All-Great River Conference and Academic All-State player finished with 396 points (14.1 per game), 91 rebounds (3.2), 84 assists 93.0) and 61 steals (2.2). She shot 35 percent (120-334) from the field, 76 percent (57-75) from the line and 35 percent (99-279) from 3-point.

The All-Granite Ridge Conference player finished with 409 points (15.1 per game), 224 rebounds (8.3), 36 assists (1.3), 32 steals (1.2) and 41 blocked shots (1.5). She shot 55.6 percent (160-288) from the floor and 49.2 percent from the line (89-181).

The All-Central Minnesota Conference first-team and All Section 6-2A player finished with 437 points (16.2 per game), 66 rebounds (2.4), 31 assists and 55 steals (2.0). She shot 35 percent (142-408) from the field, 84 percent (108-128) from the line and 36 percent (45-126) from 3-point.

She finished her career with 1,774 points and was the school's all-time leading scorer.
