Girls Basketball: Lane named conference MVP

Junior post player Olivia Lane was named the Mid-State Conference Most Valuable Player as she helped the Pequot Lakes Patriots to the conference title this season.

Junior post player Olivia Lane was named the Mid-State Conference Most Valuable Player as she helped the Pequot Lakes Patriots to the conference title this season.

Lane's teammate Karli Skog was named to the all-conference list along with Aitkin's Maggi Fellerman and Kaija Davies, Crosby-Ironton's Shyanne Loiland and Lilly Peterson and Staples-Motley's Claire Wolhowe.

Kaisa Coborn and Riley Michaelson of Park Rapids and Detroit Lakes' Breanna Price and Lauryn Manning were also named to the team.

Area players earning honorable mention were Bre Sewall and Kenzie Nelson of Pequot Lakes, Ramsey Moe and Jillian MacDonald of Aitkin and Kylie Monson, Tori Decent and Karli Nixon of C-I.

Pequot won the conference with an 8-2 record followed by Park Rapids at 7-3, C-I 6-4, Aitkin 6-4, Detroit Lakes 3-7 and S-M 0-10.
