WILLMAR — Olivia Tautges scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Brainerd Warriors past the Willmar Cardinals 71-66 in a Central Lakes Conference game Thursday, Feb. 6.

Myah Nelson added 18 points and Erika Lane finished with 18 for the Warriors who shot 51 percent from the field (24-47).

It was a revenge win for the Warriors who were defeated by Willmar 50-37 Dec. 19.

“We played with a lot of energy and effort,” said Brainerd head coach Troy Nelson. “We did a good job of running our offense and working for great shots.

“We dealt with some adversity, but the girls did a nice job of keeping their composure. It was a great conference win for us against a good Willmar team.”
