LITTLE FALLS - Katy Johnson and Kylee Heurung each scored 21 points to lead the Brainerd Warriors to a 61-51 victory over the Little Falls Flyers in a non-conference game Tuesday night.
Degen led Brainerd with nine rebounds, Johnson grabbed eight and Heurung seven as Brainerd won its third straight game while the Flyers lost their third straight.
Johnson made 6 of 8 shots from the field and drained 8 of 12 free throw attempts. Degen was 5 of 6 at the line and Heurung 6 of 8.
Sarah Gold finished with 16 points and Laura Fregin totaled 11 to lead the Flyers scoring. Jordan Schuett added nine points and Mikayla Burns contributed nine points and a team-high eight rebounds for the Flyers.
The victory also was the third straight for the Warriors in the series dating back to Dec. 1, 2011.

"The girls won a hard-fought game tonight," Warriors coach Troy Nelson said. "Both teams played really hard. It was a typical Brainerd/Little Falls battle. We found a way to score and came up with stops at important times.
"It was another great building block on our way to the playoffs."
Brainerd ends the regular season at home Friday night against Rocori.
