Olivia Tautges recorded 14 points while Courtney Russell and Lily Horn each added 13 for the Brainerd Warriors who avenged an earlier loss to the Sartell Sabres with a 70-53 Central Lakes Conference victory Thursday, Feb. 14 at Brainerd High School.
"Our defense was very good again tonight," said Brainerd head coach Troy Nelson. "We got a lot of deflections and steals and played with great effort. We also moved the ball well on offense and had great teamwork."
Russell added six steals and nine deflections. Brainerd forced 21 Sartell turnovers.
Brainerd lost to Sartell 59-57 Jan. 3. The Warriors are 6-7 in the conference while Sartell is 5-9.
