SAUK RAPIDS-Kylee Heurung poured in 23 points and snagged 11 rebounds for the Brainerd Warriors who rallied from a 35-17 halftime deficit for a 67-64 Central Lakes Conference win over the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm Thursday.
Heurung posted 21 of her points in the second half when the Warriors outscored the Storm 50-29.
"Sauk Rapids showed up and played with more desire than us in the first half and we got down by 20," said Brainerd head coach Troy Nelson. "We came out with much better energy and defensive intensity the second half, which was the key to our comeback. We were also able to turn defense into offense the second half and had much better ball movement."
Regan McElfresh added 18 points and Cara Helgeson 10 for Brainerd which beat Sauk Rapids 56-42 Jan. 17.
