Kylee Heurung recorded 21 points for the Brainerd Warriors in a 68-56 Central Lakes Conference win over the Sauk Rapids Storm Tuesday night at Brainerd High School.
Katy Johnson added 17 points and six rebounds for the Warriors who have won three straight. Abby Clanton's seven rebounds led Brainerd in that department.
"We started off the game well again, with great energy, and jumped out to a 16-point halftime lead," Warriors coach Troy Nelson said. "The girls did a great job executing the game plan offensively and especially defensively. Our starters played really good together again and the players off the bench provided a spark at key times.
"It was a good start to a 4-game week."
