Kylee Heurung scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Brainerd Warriors in their 69-65 win against the Bemidji Lumberjacks Saturday at Brainerd High School.
Brainerd's Hanna Degen added 13 points and Lexi Roby finished with 11.
"The girls came out and played with a lot of energy and desire today," said Warriors coach Troy Nelson. "Our defensive intensity was much improved and we did a really good job of moving the ball on offense.
"It got a little closer than it probably should have down the stretch, but I was proud of the girls for not hanging their heads and continuing to battle throughout."
