COLD SPRING-Emily Aga shot an 89 and Julia Wallace followed with a 96 leading Brainerd to a fourth-place finish Monday in a rain-soaked Central Lakes Conference meet at Rich Spring Golf Course.
"The girls played well this afternoon in some tough weather," Brainerd head coach Todd Person said. "The rain started about 30 minutes into the round and continued as the temperatures dropped. Maggie Mattson played very well keeping a smooth swing throughout. She broke 100 for the first time in a competitive round. Even though the girls didn't feel they did as well as they wanted to, the whole team did a great job of keeping their spirits up which showed in the improved scores over last Thursday's opening round."
Mattson finished with a 98 and Rachel Cleveland followed with a 99 for Brainerd's 382.
