ALEXANDRIA - Hannah Moen shot 85 to place 10th and the Brainerd Warriors finished seventh in Saturday's Alexandria Invite at Geneva Golf Club.

Julia Wallace carded an 87 to finish 11th. Maren Pelowski's 95 put her in 24th place. Abby Pohlkamp shot 111 for the Warriors' fourth score.

"We had a couple of starters that were unable to play today which gave two of our eighth grade junior varsity players, Abby Pohlkamp and Libby Zemke, an opportunity to play an 18-hole match," Warriors coach Todd Person said. "Both Abby and Libby did well for their first time out.

"Julia Wallace had her best round yet on a difficult course. Maren Pelowski continues to show improvement. I watched Maren hit some spectacular shots today including after her tee ball went in a hazard, she knocked her third shot to about five feet and made the putt to save a par. Maren also won closest to the pin on a par-3 which she was able to convert for a birdie."

Team scores: 1-Alexandria 336, 2-Elk River 339, 3-Rocori 357, 4-St. Michael-Albertville 362, 5-Rogers 368, 6-St. Cloud Cathedral 372, 7-Brainerd 376, 8-St. Cloud Apollo 376
