ALEXANDRIA - A pair of second-period goals by Ally Smith gave Brainerd/Little Falls a 2-0 lead, but the Flying Warriors were unable to stave off Class 1A's 11th-ranked Alexandria Cardinals who rallied for a 3-2 overtime victory Thursday in a Central Lakes Conference game.

Brooke Mimmack and Maddie Ellingson picked up assists and goalie Olivia King was credited with 35 saves for BLF.

The Flying Warriors wrap up regular-season play Tuesday against the St. Cloud Icebreakers at Little Falls at 7:15 p.m.
