Two third-period goals by Cheyenne Abear and another by Gabbie Smith lifted the Brainerd/Little Falls Warriors to a 4-2 win over the North Wright County RiverHawks at Essentia Health Sports Center Tuesday, Dec. 18.
The Riverhawks came into the contest with a 9-2 record and sporting the second-best Quality Results Formula in Section 8-2A. The win improves BLF to 7-2-1 overall.
Lindsey Booth accounted for the other Warrior goal in the second period before NWC scored twice to take a 2-1 lead into the final period.
BLF outshot the RiverHawks 28-18 with Warrior goalie Olivia King recording 16 saves.
