CLOQUET - With two goals in the first two minutes, the Cloquet Lumberjacks slapped the Brainerd Warriors with its first loss of the season 3-2 Saturday.
Kiana Bender scored 18 seconds into the contest and Kayla Baker tallied at 1:52 for a quick 2-0 Cloquet lead.
Brainerd's Brook Watland cut the Lumberjacks' lead in half just before the period break, but the Lumberjacks built the deficit back up to two when Rose Lundquist scored the only goal of the second period.
Katie Orth, who assisted on Watland's goal, posted her own goal in the third assisted by Gabbie Smith and Grace Schulte.
