Girls Hockey: Flying Warriors finish with a win

LITTLE FALLS - Allyson Smith provided all the scoring the Brainerd/Little Falls Flying Warriors needed to wrap up their regular season with a 3-2 Central Lakes Conference win over the St. Cloud Ice Breakers Tuesday.

LITTLE FALLS - Allyson Smith provided all the scoring the Brainerd/Little Falls Flying Warriors needed to wrap up their regular season with a 3-2 Central Lakes Conference win over the St. Cloud Ice Breakers Tuesday.

Maddie Ellingson assisted on all three goals and Brooke Mimmack was also credited with an assist.

Brainerd/Little Falls held a 31-26 shots-on-goal edge with goalie Olivia King collecting 24 saves.

The Flying Warriors finish the regular season 8-15 overall, 3-7 in the conference and are seeded ninth in the Section 8-2A tournament. They play at eighth-seeded Bemidji in the opening round of the tournament 7 p.m. Thursday.
