Molly Hagelie punched in the winning goal 52 seconds into overtime for the Brainerd/Little Falls Warriors who defeated the Grand Rapids/Greenway Lightning 2-1 Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Essentia Health Sports Center in a non-conference matchup.
Peyton LeMieur and Riah Stroot assisted on the winning goal.
LeMieur and Hagelie assisted on the first BLF goal by Avery LeMieur in the opening period.
Grand Rapid’s Claire Vekich tied the game with an unassisted score in the third.
The Warriors peppered the Lightning nets with 43 shots. Warrior goalie Emily Johnson stopped 10 of 11 shots on the BLF net.
