Girls Hockey: Section 8-2A final to be played in Alex

For the third-straight season, the No. 1 seeded Brainerd/Little Falls Warriors will play in the Section 8-2A girls hockey final.

This year that game will be played 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 at Runestone Arena in Alexandria.

The top-seeded Warriors (22-4-1) will face the No. 3 seeded North Wright County RiverHawks (22-5), which upset No. 2 Roseau 2-1 Tuesday, Feb. 12.

B/LF topped North Wright County 4-2 Dec. 18 and 3-2 Dec. 26.

The RiverHawks have won five straight and 12 of their last 13. They've outscored their last five opponents 18-2.

Brainerd has won four straight by a 19-4 margin.
