Hannah Zimmerman scored the game-winner with 46 seconds left to propel the Northern Lakes Lightning to a 4-3 non-conference win over the Brainerd/Little Falls Flying Warriors Tuesday night at Essentia Health Sports Center.
Kennedy Rusk's goal at 7:01 of the third had tied the game 3-3 for BLF, which lost despite outshooting the Lightning 32-22.
Brooke Mimmack and Ally Smith scored the other Flying Warriors goal. Maddie Ellingson notched two assists for BLF.
Bella Abear scored twice for the Lightning. Maria Reed registered the other Northern Lakes marker and collected two assists.
Madison Galligan made 29 saves for the Lightning while Olivia King recorded 18 for the Flying Warriors.
