Girls Soccer: Eckman, Warriors silence the Sabres

Brainerd traveled to Sartell for a CLC clash.

SARTELL — Gabby Eckman recorded two goals, including the game-winner 49 seconds into the second half to lift the Brainerd Warriors to a 3-2 Central Lakes Conference victory over the Sartell Sabres Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Emma Sheflo opened the scoring for Brainerd at 10:08 of the first half, but Sartell tied the game 10 minutes later.

Eckman’s first goal handed Brainerd a 2-1 lead before Sartell answered 16 seconds later to create a 2-2 halftime score.

Brainerd keeper Peyton LeMieur finished with six saves as the Warriors outshot Sartell 17-8.
