ST. MICHAEL-Daisy Miller scored in the first half and Abby Buckmeier and Alexis Phillips tallied in the second as the St. Michael-Albertville Knights blanked the Brainerd Warriors 3-0 in a Section 8-2A matchup Saturday, Sept. 29.
Molly Rudolph made five saves for the Warriors whose 9-game win streak was halted.
"In the first half STMA controlled the play, and had three quality chances to score," Warriors coach Grant Gmeinder said. "They scored on a very nice shot from 30 yards away. We defended very well overall.
"In the second half, we controlled more of the play, and created 4-5 quality scoring chances.
"We are happy with how we played at this point in the season against a very good Section 8-2A opponent and we are excited to keep improving."
