Girls Soccer: Warriors shutout Willmar for a 37th straight conference win

WILLMAR — Avery LeMieur and Mari Devine netted goals for the Brainerd Warriors who recorded their seventh straight shutout of the season, 2-0 over the Willmar Cardinals in a Central Lakes Conference game Thursday, Sept. 17.

The Warriors are 7-0 and have outscored their opponents 37-0. They have won 37 straight CLC games.

The Warriors were tenacious on defense as the Cards managed just two shots on the net while Brainerd placed 10 on goal.

Gracelyn Dickinson tended the net for Brainerd in the first half and Peyton LeMieur took over the second half. They each had one save.

Avery LeMieur opened the scoring at the 22 minute with an assist from Devine and Devine made it 2-0 five minutes later on a penalty kick.
