MOORHEAD — Kayla Bush scored the lone Warriors goal in the second half to make the score 2-1, but Brainerd fell by that same score to the Moorhead Spuds Saturday, Oct. 10.
Brainerd took its first loss of the season despite getting 13 shots on goal to Moorhead’s four. Peyton LeMieur notched two saves in net for Brainerd.
After a scoreless first half, Moorhead tacked on two goals in the second half to take a 2-0 advantage before Bush’s goal.
The Warriors will travel to Moorhead again Thursday, Oct. 15, for the Section 8-2A quarterfinals.
