Girls Tennis: Pequot Lakes 1st, Brainerd 2nd at Moose Tournament

Brainerd’s Catherine Moraghan at No. 3 singles, Lacy Busch at No. 4 singles and Brynne Folden-Lila Collins at No. 1 doubles all went 4-0 to earn first place in the Moose Tournament Saturday, Sept. 11, at Brainerd High School.

The Warriors finished second as a team with 24 points on point behind first place Pequot Lakes.

The Patriots had four first place finishes including Megan Muller at No. 1 singles, Carly Chaney at No. 2 singles, Payton Mudgett-Allyson Yahn at No. 2 doubles and Ellie Ourandik-Aubrey Wizcek-Jordan Gartner at No. 4 doubles.

The Warriors’ No. 2 singles player Taylor Ruhl went 3-1 to get second as well as No. 2 doubles team Lindsy Busch-Ericah Folden.

Riley Fogarty earned a second-place finish for the Patriots at No. 4 singles.
