Girls Tennis: Warriors capture conference opener

ST. CLOUD--Kennedy Rusk-Britney Fletcher at No. 1 doubles improved to 10-2 on the season for the Brainerd Warriors who opened their Central Lakes Conference season Tuesday with a 7-0 win over St. Cloud Apollo/SRR/Cathedral.

ST. CLOUD-Kennedy Rusk-Britney Fletcher at No. 1 doubles improved to 10-2 on the season for the Brainerd Warriors who opened their Central Lakes Conference season Tuesday with a 7-0 win over St. Cloud Apollo/SRR/Cathedral.

All of the Brainerd matches were decided in straight sets with Payge Fitterer and Kate Kurtzman at No. 1 and 3 singles, respectively, winning 6-0, 6-0.

The win improves Brainerd's overall record to 8-1.
