FERGUS FALLS — Catherine Moraghan went 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and the Brainerd Warriors didn’t lose a set as they cruised to a 7-0 Central Lakes Conference win over the Fergus Falls Otters Thursday, Aug. 27.
The closest match of the day came at No. 3 doubles where Chloe Pecarich and Lila Collins dispatched their opponents 6-3, 6-4. The other two Warrior doubles teams of Lily Jones-Kate Chaussee and Ally Goeden-Brynne Folden lost just one game.
In singles play, Kate Kurtzman won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1, Taylor Ruhl went 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 and Ella Chaussee won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4.
Brainerd junior varsity singles winners were Lindsy Busch and Olivia Orlowski.
Doubles winners were Raleigh Mann-Lacy Busch, Ellie Brown-Ericah Folden, Hannah Hayes-Lauren Kline, Lydia Olson-Taylor Harrington, Bailey Czech-Cassidy Grimsley, and Sophie Karnia-Lyllian Caponi.
