Girls Tennis: Warriors knock off Otters

FERGUS FALLS — Taylor Ruhl won at No. 1 singles for Brainerd 6-4, 6-2 as the Warriors defeated Fergus Falls 6-1 in a Central Lakes Conference match Thursday, Sept. 9.

Ella Chaussee won at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-3 as the Warriors swept the singles matches 4-0 with Catherine Moraghan and Lacy Busch also picking up wins.

No. 1 doubles team Brynee Folden-Lila Collins won 7-5, 6-1 as well as No. 2 doubles team Lindsy Busch-Ericah Folden 6-4, 6-2 for Brainerd.

In junior varsity, Reese Glynn, Ellie Brown and Hannah Hayes were winners in singles while Lydia Omberg, Lauren Kline, Brooke Mulholland, Paige Beyer, Lydia Olson, Olivia Dehning, Olivia Orlowski, Lily Knoepke, Nola Doty, Sophie Schamber, Corryn Eberhart, Sophie Karsnia, Kaya Anderson, Jasmine Patnoe, Eva Zernov, Abi Neelan, Taylor Harrington, Rilee Borders, Lauren Castle, Stella Lundberg and Nola Doty won in doubles.
