Pequot Lakes senior Alex Stone is one of eight finalists for the Ms. Golf award, the Ms. and Mr. Minnesota Golf Committee and Windsong Farm Golf Club announced Monday.
Additional girls finalists are Anni Heck, Visitation; Stephanie Herzog, Red Wing; Ashlyn Guggisberg, Minnewaska; Grace Kellar, Edina; Maddy Messin, Forest Lake; Isabelle Ouyang, Edina; and Kiera Smith, Heritage Christian Academy.
Mr. Minnesota Golf finalists include Parker Anderson, Stillwater; Jack Ebner, Edina; Ben Frazzini, Wayzata; Austin Janski, Annandale; Brady Madsen, MACCRAY; Reece Sanders, Blake; Ben Sigel, Minnetonka; and Paul Stankey, Providence Academy.
From the group of finalists, two individuals will be presented with the award at 6 p.m. June 11 at the Windsong Farm Golf Club in Independence, Minn.
Last year's Ms. and Mr. Minnesota Golf were Kate Smith, Detroit Lakes, and Andrew Israelson, Staples-Motley.

The award was created in 2016 to recognize the outstanding male and female high school senior golfer based on their performance on the golf course, academic achievement and strength of character. Finalists are chosen by a committee of high school coaches and amateur golf representatives.
