Get out of here February! Not sure if you enjoyed the short month but I thought it felt like one of the longest!
Welcome March! The days are getting longer, daylight-saving time begins, the panfish become more active, spring break happens, it's state tournament time and March is also traditionally one of the snowiest months.
Just a few FYIs for you. Do you have your boat rigged and ready? How about the rods and reels, are they clean? New line purchased? Tackle boxes stocked with all the essentials?
Normally I am talking turkey by now,but I am very excited for the open water season and ready to get back in the "saddle"!
OK, I mentioned turkeys and now I will admit that my mind is there, too.

The National Wild Turkey Federation banquet is scheduled for March 7 in Nisswa and you might want to consider checking it out if you are looking for something to do. I do love everything about turkeys and I think if you get to know a little more about them you will, too!
