Brannon Amundson finished 2-3 with a run scored for Brainerd In the first round of group play Friday, July 16, in the Gopher State Baseball Tournament in Brainerd.

Asher Borle and Atreyu Marcelo drove in both Brainerd runs. Keaton Lingenfelter scored the other Brainerd run in the seventh.

Blaine 9, Brainerd 3

Tristan Wilson and Eli Tautges both drove in runs for Brainerd in a 9-3 loss to Blaine in Game Two of group play Saturday, July 17, in Brainerd.

Wilson finished 1-3 with a run. Chase Tretter was 1-1 with a run scored and Nate Herkenhoff scored the other Brainerd run.

Moorhead 9, Brainerd 5

Tautges finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored for Brainerd in a 9-5 loss to Moorhead in the final game of group play Saturday, July 17, in Brainerd.

Wilson finished 1-2 with a run and Lingenfelter was 2-4 with a run. Nate Herkenhoff doubled and Bryan Schaeitberger and Marcelo collected Brainerd’s other hits.
