Essentia Health Pediatrics and Family Medicine teams are offering sports physicals for fall athletes entering grades 7-12 at Essentia Health St. Joseph's-Baxter Clinic, 13060 Isle Dr., Baxter.
Physicals will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26, and Thursday, Aug. 2. Call 218-828-7100 to schedule an appointment.
The sport physical exam will consist of a complete well-child exam, including hearing and vision, medical history review, immunization review, allergies, physical and skeletal evaluation by board certified pediatric and family medicine providers. An annual well-child exam is typically 100 percent covered by insurance.
In addition, Essentia Health specialists will be on hand to provide additional education. Essentia Health athletic trainers Aaron Nelson and Megan Hanson will answer questions and provide information on injury prevention.
Registered Dietitian Jennifer Stange will also share information on fat and sugar content as well as examples of healthy snacks and eating.
