High School Football: Aitkin blanks Greenway in opener

AITKIN — Owen Miller ran for two touchdowns as Aitkin opened their season with a 38-0 win over Greenway Friday, Oct. 9.

Austin Price opened the scoring for the Gobblers with a 15-yard burst in the second quarter. Hunter Nissen followed that with a 3-yard plunge and Miller scored his first touchdown from 3 yards out to give Aitkin a 20-0 halftime lead.

Miller scored his second touchdown on the ground in the third quarter on an 11-yard run and Jeremiah Smythe returned an interception for a 50-yard touchdown.

Alex Palm’s 10-yard scamper finished off the scoring for the Gobblers.
