High School Football: All-Star training camp under way

Training camp opened Sunday at St. John's University in Collegeville for the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Tackle Cancer All-Star Football Game.

Training camp opened Sunday at St. John's University in Collegeville for the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Tackle Cancer All-Star Football Game.

Josh Howieson of Brainerd, CJ Borleis of Pequot Lakes and Michael Meyer of Pierz will play for the North team in the game which kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Husky Stadium on the campus of the St. Cloud State University.

Pierz's Dave Rocheleau will be an assistant coach for the North team.

Tickets may be purchased from the high school coach in your community. Tickets will also be available at the Husky Stadium gate June 25.

This will be the final All-Star game played in the summer. The MFCA plans to play future All-Star games in early December at the new US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
