High School Football: Breckenridge blanks Staples 54-0

BRECKENRIDGE— Senior Logan Weite rushed for 64 yards on nine carries and had six tackles on defense for the Staples-Motley Cardinals, who were defeated 54-0 by the Breckenridge Cowboys in a non-subdistrict game Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The Cowboys returned the opening kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown and added four more scores for a 34-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. They returned two punts for TDs and compiled a 320-98 advantage in total offensive yards.
